We parked at Milldale and walked to the car park at Dovedale and back which was a good option as it was very busy at the Dovedale end. The stepping stones were closed for repair and everyone was being diverted via a somewhat unsatisfactory route...More
This was my second trip to the Peak District and also my favourite area in the National Park, Dovedale. The countryside here is breath taking and on a bright, very warm late September afternoon (mid-week!) can't be beaten.
I undertook the walk to Milldale, which...More

Not massively, although some people do take pushchairs and carry them over the stepping stones but you won't get too far I'm afraid. If you have one of them push chairs that have 3 little bmx wheels and suspension you might get a little further but I would say to get the full enjoyment from the place I would try and go pushchair free. Hope this helps a little.
