This old building is being restored and is now used for a wide range of activities. The clock chimes are unusual and the access is of a passage off Hill Street so many visitors miss seeing it.

The chimes from the clock can be heard in the town centre. The tall tower is visible from much of the town although the entrance is via a pedestrianised passage off Hill Street. The recent renovations have improved the interior.

Although you can see the Clock Tower, it is difficult to find the entrance as it is tucked away down a small alley.

Visited the Institute for a meeting and was amazed at the major refurbishment underway. The former weights training room has been refurbished and is now fitted out for displaying pictures etc. Will be a great meeting room.
