When the sun is shining this is a must visit - we have national trust cards but without it seemed to be fairly expensive - you can easily spend the whole day there, especially with children. The gardens are stunning and it's well worth a...More

We called in on our way to Heathrow. The entrance is in the middle of the village and easy to miss. You go down a long drive then have to ride a bus back up to the house. The decorations are a bit florid for...More

We had spent the weekend staying in the Oxford area and wanted to visit a local National Trust property. This is not like any NT building I've been to before. It looks like a much older French chateau though I believe it was built at...More

Waddesdon Manor was recommended to us as a must see. It certainly is worthwhile visiting the manor and gardens. It is remarkably well kept with many treasures inside the manor. Having come from Australia we were a bit daunted by the crowds but there is...More

Thank you for taking your time to review your visit Max. I'm afraid no liquids are allowed into the house as even the smallest of spillages could lead to irreversible damage to our carpets and textiles that were made before the invention of modern dyes...More

This is a fabulously quirky house intended as a replica of French chateau living in an English setting, and the grounds, gardens and house are all well worth a visit. If you're lucky, as we were, you may even catch a glimpse (or even a...More

The grounds are wonderful no doubt. While the full-time staff appear to have had some elementary training in customer service, the part-timers clearly have received none at all. Long queues with staff standing around chatting is not what I expect when I pay nearly 3...More

Our Son prefers gluten free food and did not have any problems finding something good to eat at Waddesdon Manor. We have found GF choices offered at most tourist places.
