I can certainly echo what other reviewers have been saying: Waddesdon and the National Trust have just got too greedy and and simply don't have the facilities to cope with the number of people that they allow to visit at Christmas. At one point I counted over 50 people in the queue for the women's toilets in the main house.... More

The Manor is stunning at this time of year. My friend lives in the grounds so I have visited several times but it looks particularly special at Christmas when there is a German Market, and lots of fairy lights etc. Very festive.

We went yesterday (Dec 4th) and it was very busy and the sheer number of people highlighted the deficiencies in the organisation of the place. When buying a ticket they had three people dealing with pre-bookings, fair enough if you pre-book you shouldn't expect to stand in line but the pre booking line was very small - 10 people max,... No one can doubt the beauty and spectacle of Waddesdon Manor at Christmas, but I really feel that the National Trust are 'cashing in' and taking advantage of visitors. We visited on Saturday 2 December and there were way too many people allowed on site. The queues for the buses and 'gingerbread house' were ridiculous and the catering facilities were... More

We've visited Waddesdon Manor many times in the past both at Christmas & other times of year & have very much enjoyed our visits - until yesterday. Here's why: THE WIGWAM CAFE - poorly trained staff incapable of taking orders or making out the bill correctly. A long wait for them to consult a supervisor. TOILET FACILITIES - totally inadequate.... More

I visited Waddesdon Manor specifically to visit the Christmas fair, which had a terrific display of goods especially food. The grounds were magical and certainly I shall enjoy visiting in summer when the statues are uncovered. No complaint about the parking, excellently organised and very user friendly and polite staff helping with the buses. My complaint is with the Stable... More

Been to Waddesdon several times before and marvelled at the house and grounds, but the Christmas Fayre is something else, Tucked away behind the house, there are some 60 stalls selling top quality food, clothing and Christmas goodies and gifts, with some great street food stops. Came away with all manner of great cheeses, sausages, steamed puddings, even a woolly... More

The house was beautifully decorated with Christmas trees , it was quite breathtaking. The stables had good coffee and cake. Such a welcome , the Christmas market stunned the senses.

Went with a group my first visit arrived at 1 pm and visited the stalls which had a lovely display of goods and eating areas and not overly priced. Had hot spiced apple and cinnamon tea, gorgeous on such a cold but dry and very sunny day. Then toured the house lovely setting in each room centered around Christmas. The... More

I went today with my best friend and her retired parents. The car park is very well organised and the shuttle bus is very efficient and makes it all very easy. It takes you right up to the entrance to the grounds in front if the house. The house has numerous decorated trees which are beautiful. Outside there are plenty... More
