What an amazing day- first a great trip to Ek Balam followed by a sailing down the cenote- Grecia Medina was our guide for the day and we were very impressed by her knowledge and friendliness. Thank you!

Visited here as part of a guided tour that included the El Balam Mayan Ruins. This stop includes displays of how the descendants of the Mayans live plus the chance to swim in an underground grotto! One can climb down or rappel to the water.

Great fun! We stopped here at the end of our tour. Started with a Mayan ceremony and then swimming, rappelling, or zip lining in this huge Cenote. Water was cold but refreshing. There are lockers and towels available and lunch was provided on our tour.

If coming in with a cruise ship- how easy is it to make taxi arrangements to get to the ruins and cenote on your own vs 140$ per person for the "tour"......? I have 6 in my family and trying to make the best money decision.

I don't think it's possible because the tour company I believe has developed the property and maybe has exclusive rights to it....since their name is on lots of stuff in the gift shop and the only vehicles I saw there were... More

I am curious what the price of admission was. I would be driving on my own so no tour or transportation needed. Do you know what the cost was? Thanks.
