The 'tour' was very short, though it did present a couple of interesting points. At 50 pesos, it's value priced. The tequila is not bad, it has a very distinct smoky taste which will appeal to some but not to others. The gift/souvenir shop was...More

I am not much of a tequila drinker, and found Mayapan's tequila to be surprisingly smooth and pleasant. The tour experience was brief, but very educational (and extremely inexpensive... 50 pesos?? Not even $3...) The smell of the blue agave pineapples smoking was wonderful, and...More

A quick visit to a little Tequila distillery that is well known in the Yucatan peninsula region. They offer free tasting before any purchase of all the types of tequila - even antiqua. They also sell Maya bees honey and Mexican cofee so definitely worth...More

The guided tour in the distillery cost us 50 pesos each, and took only around 4 minutes. The tour guide was a young woman whose English was really bad and she talked in such a low voice we could not understand a thing. We got...More

Bit of a tequila nerd and this wasn´t a very nice tequila compared to other regions. Made roughly catering to tourists who dont know anything about tequila. Regardless, learned a lot and cant beat the price and experience. Highly recommend the stop. Tip well.

This is a quick tour stop if you are on your way to Valladolid or Chichen Itza from the Riviera Maya. It is not worth a drive on its own. There are English-speaking tour guides that give you a quick run down of the tequila...More

The tour was quick (under 10 minutes) but covered the basics of tequila production. We enjoyed the tasting at the end but there are other places to do tequila tastings in more convenient locations.

There is nothing like few tequila shots in the early afternoon! But even better when it is fresh artisan tequila and accompanied with personalized tour of an agave farm and the distillery. The tour is fun and educational. The Mayapan Tequila Distillery uses over 400...More

Best Tequila I've ever tasted! There were 6 bottles that we could try with lime and salt. We had our own guide and told a lot of how the tequila was made. You can buy your favorite tequila.

For a very fair price we got a private tour for our group of six. We got a quick overview about growing and harvesting the Agave as well as how the Tequila gets produced. The tour included a tasting of the different grades of Tequila.
