Jasmine was our guide for the ATV tour. It was awesome and worth the money. I was a first time rider. The track was pretty rough but fun. The ATV'S do about 70mph. The track is literally through the jungle and it's a wild ride. You also ride along the beach and on the open road. We also brought the... More

We booked this tour via their website while visiting Costa Maya from a cruise ship. We tend to book private tours instead of cruise ship tours, and this was a great choice. We were met just outside the port area and escorted to the offices of Island Marketing, where we settled the payment and were offered cold drinks while we... More

We did the bicycling and kayaking excursion through carnival fantasy. One of our tour guides was named Diego and he and the other two guides (whose names I seem to have forgotten) were amazing! They were so laid back and comfortable to be around. This tour wasn't too difficult to do it you're out of shape or not the most... More

This site was opened in 1991 in conjunction with the pier at Costa Maya. It is a more significant and involved site than I anticipated having visited many of the Mayan and Aztec sites back in the 70s. If you care about history and older civilizations, you must go. Be sure to try the fresh pineapple with habanero flakes beside... More

Prepare for some bumpy, dusty (or muddy), loud fun. The buggys are all automatics, aside from the manual transmission warnings, but do not have power steering, so you do have to work a bit to turn them You get a nice driving tour of the local area (Mahahual). There are several stops, so anyone who wants a chance to drive... More

This was one of the best side excursions we have ever done and doing it on Christmas Day made it that much better. We were picked up from the boat (we were on Norwegian Cruises) and shuttled to a private beach side area (about a half hour away). We then were given a quick intro to the safety and how... More

We took the "ATV Jungle and Beach Adventure" tour and had the best of both worlds - Adventure and relaxation. It took a little time to drive (30 minutes or so) to the ATV area but it was a neat drive in an open truck so we felt like we were somewhere different. The staff was great - The ATV... More

It was quite windy the day we visited but the boat ride was enjoyable, our guides spoke limited English but we speak limited Spanish, so it was Ok :) We did have someone from the meeting point call our guides, unsure if they didn't plan to come due to the wind or a case of island time, either way, sitting... This tour could not have been better. Our guide Lally was extraordinary - fully informed and very personable. She has studied the Mayan culture extensively and shared her knowledge in a clear and informative manner. Her English was perfect. When we look at how well this tour was conducted for such a reasonable price, we feel that we hit the... More

There was no risk or adrenaline pumping, but incredibly informational and interesting. Our tour guide, Jose was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. To make the most out of this tour you should be very mobile. Astonishingly large area of ruins. Borderline overrun with tourists, but it's organized.
