You can't drive by on I-29 near Pembina and not see this place. It's nearly impossible.... unless you're in a blizzard, etc... It's right there bigger than life. Take some time to stop by and check this place out. It's an interesting little museum with...More

This is an impressive little free (donation) museum right by the border. Well worth at least a 30 min detour before crossing the border. Lots of great local history and displays showing life in the Pembina Valley 100+ years ago.

Stayed over night here before crossing into Manitoba. Cool little town a lot of history. My oldest daughter and I explored the area through my favorite hobby, geocaching.

Small but well-appointed museum with traveling exhibits in addition to the static exhibits. Has an observation tower you reach by elevator or stairway where you can see into Canada!

Just a small place but interesting for it's unique look at the specifics of the area. And the view - There's nothing else that high on the prairie landscape with such an interrupted vista!

This is a neat little museum. You start at the Crustacean period , through the fur trade, through the first setllers, through modern times in the gallery. The displays are easy to understand, and even I learned something! There is a 7-story viewing tower that...More
