This beach is a bit off the beaten track so there's lots of room to spread out. After a "blow" if there's a lot of seaweed, it can smell a bit, well, seaweedy, but that's true with any ocean location! Anyway, this beach is a well-kept secret, so shhhh!! ;)

We've travelled a lot around PEI over the past 15 years but we found in North Rustico where we want to locate our home away from home. We look forward to spending more time in North Rustico as summer residents (We're from Ontario after all, we are not tough enough to endure the winters in the East)

What a surprise! The north shore of PEI is incredible! October is a great time to visit- no crowds but still enough restaurants open.Worst thing about the island is the $46 toll for the bridge! What a rip.

We stopped at several PEI beaches. Each one is a little different...different plants, even color of sand. Beautiful!!

If you love the beach, then this is one to go visit, its a very beautiful long sandy beach with a life guard on duty. There is an old wharf you can walk on, beautiful scenery and the water is nice, lots of waves.. You can watch the fishing boats and tour boats go out and come back in, there... More

Great spot that avoids the throngs of cavendish. Clean beach and amenities, crisp water and great biking trail if you're so inclined.

We found this hidden gem of a beach on our third trip through this area. This beach isn't as crowded as Cavendish. It also has free parking and no entry fees. Another advantage is that it is close to a good restaurant, the Blue Mussel Café.

Part of this beach is in the National Park, which requires a pass to use. The easternmost part of the beach is outside of the park and can be accessed by driving to the end Harbourview Drive, and turning left at the very last street sign, which is Breakwater. This is space for about 30 cars along the unpaved road... More

We weren't there for a typical beach day of sunning and swimming. We were there for a late afternoon walk on the beach. It was quiet, clean and a perfect beach for walking, and relaxing. There were some interesting rocks to see, and bits of broken shells. It wasn't crowded . The lighthouse is an added bonus to see.
