Greig's Caves: The most extensive and spectacular formation of limestone caves in Ontario. Like the famous flowerpots on flowerpot island off Tobermory, ON. Take one hour hike through rugged trails, that lead you to 10 natural limestone caves. After exploring take the trail above the caves for a spectacular views some 300 ft. above Georgian Bay.

We thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon at the caves. My wife and I visit them often to see the ferns growing out of the limestone cliff face. The hike is a bit treacherous in places although I make it and I am in my 70's.

Nothing special, the site is maintained by a private owner, that shows, its neglected and he uses red paint marking the way on the natural rocks , really shameful. Admission fee is also really high. The outlook to the lake above the cliff is nice. Can be skipped.

Nice trail with beautiful caves to explore. Medium difficulty, but wear stable shoes as there are rocks and trail going up and down. There is ample parking. Entrance is not free, but it is worth it as this trail is very different from all other trails that we explored in Bruce Peninsula.

Great experience for those who wish to explore on a budget; although there are plenty of beautiful trails in Tobermory/Lion’s Head, Greig’s Caves was still worth it. The trip took us about one hour for us since the rocks were slippery and we had to slow down the pace. We recommend taking the hiking sticks near the entrance because YOU... More

Good way to spend about an hour, but not great value (CAD$10). The warning signs and waiver are off putting and makes it all seem a little unsafe. It was quiet when we went (end of day) which made it easier to get good photos.

We visited the Greig's Caves in July. It was a nice and sunny day with slight breeze. Quite comfortable. There were 10 scenic caves, the views were gorgeous. The trail was an intermediate with slight climbing. The view at the top was amazing! It worth a visit!

We visited on a Thursday afternoon, almost had the place to ourselves. The caves are stunning and the hike through trail is more that worth the price of admission. The lookouts also show the best scenery of Georgian Bay. Make sure to bring good hiking or running shoes with good treads they are definitely needed.

Great views, took many photos...natural phenomenon!!! Only concerned at one point up around caves since the red direction arrow was spaced a distance from the last and my family wondered if they should turn back 1/4 way on the trail. I ventured ahead to locate the next red arrow and discovered we were on track in the right direction. My... More

This group of caves located down a short gravel road was a fun walk for me. I was solo but I could imagine all the fun kids would have playing in the caves and building an Inuksuk as well. Bring good shoes.

This is a fun hike with lots of caves to stop and investigate. Some of the navigating was a bit difficult, so you might grab a walking stick (provided) as you start. For the average person, it should be no problem, though. Keep on the trail to avoid poison ivy. We also went on the short loop afterwards to view... More
