A wonderful place to visit. Come check out all the fossils & information about the dinosaurs that walked the very land that the town was built on. There are walks and tours available too so YOU can experience a bit of the fun yourself. Knowledgable staff. Gift Shop available. Great for School trips or family trips.

We had a great tour with one of the friendly young guides with excellent displays of pre-historic artefacts. Very informative and with a short drive to where the digs take place during low tide it was definitely a hands on experience. I was also thrilled to be able to buy a tooth fossil on my departure

We are glad that you had such an enjoyable trip. The beach tours are very popular, and compliment the visit to the Museum's gallery very well. The new fossil displays, including Canada's oldest dinosaurs have been mentioned by many people. There will be some new fossil casts for sale in the Museum Shop next year. It's worth a return trip!... More

This is a small but informative museum. It is well worth the stop if you are driving by and it is even worth a detour if you are not. Parrsboro is in a beautiful area in Nova Scotia. We drove this way on our trip from Halifax to Shediac.

Passboro is a small town with the small Fundy Geological Museum, a little off the beaten track but easy to find if you go on the secondary road west around the Minas Basin. It is very good for school children and gives them an idea of the geology of the area. To adults, with even a slight knowledge of the... More

The Fundy Geological Museum is small but collection includes a history of the Earth, both in displays or rocks and fossils, and in a terrific video simulation. Nova Scotia has so e of the most unique fossils in the world, fossils that you will not see at other museums. See the trackways of centipedes a foot wide and eight feet... More

Interesting snapshot of the geological area. Very well laid out. Great for kids. The staff were very helpful in letting us know about other things in town, particularly where to go for rock hunting and to see the tides.

My husband and I really enjoyed our visit here, especially our interaction with Reegan and Tim who work there. Reegan took the time to explain her current project as well as other fossils collected. We took the 2 hour guided tour with Tim and Reegan at Wasson Bluff. They easily explain what was going on and where their finds had... More

This wasn't a planned visit, but we were captivated. The lady who greeted us, gave us a map of the area and explained what we could expect to see. After Joggins, this was the icing on the cake. It was good for adults and children.

This little museum contains some of the best specimens and prehistoric relics found in the area - comparable to some of the larger museums found elsewhere. Interactive displays and kiosks provide information about the area, history, and discoveries found in the cliffs and ground of the region. Great gift shop available too!
