The beach was so smooth. Waves were like clock work. Parking endless. The water was cold but crystal clear.

This is a beautiful rock beach with a nice sandy strip to take a stroll on. Very clean and well kept with a nice washroom nearby in the parking lot.

We walked about a kilometer up the beach and back, very interesting rocks and the sounds the surf made when it receded was really cool (at south end of the beach).

This was the most beautiful beach I have been to. It was a short stop through on our way to explore the provincial park. The water was clear, warm and beautiful. The landscape was incredible. Definately worth the trip.

Was here with daughters and girlfriend August 2016. While the beach and park area are very well maintained, the water on Ingonish beach was freezing. Just able to get in and dunk under and then race back to shore. Water is crystal clear though. Scenery...More

I think the beach is open 24 hours there are no gates there is a park entrance fee during the day but it doesn't restrict you from accessing the beach. If you park and stay you will get a ticket
