Well done, well organized with many informational displays and photographs about the incredible family and life of AGB. The displays include full size airplanes, hydroplanes and other inventions of Bell. The site is located on a beautiful hill overlooking the bay. The Bell grave site, however, is on the Bell Estate land still owned by Bell descendants and not open... More

Fantastic place for all to see. Great information about a man who was so very talented. It will take a few hours to go through it. They have some scheduled tours as well that I think would be worth attending. Call ahead for times.

The museum expanded greatly our understanding of Mr. Bell, drawing the link between his lifelong interest in teaching and helping the deaf (including his eventual wife, Mabel), and his invention of the telephone. Less well known to us was his pioneering work in aviation as a founding member of the Aerial Experimental Association, rivaling the Wright brothers. The most memorable... More

We did this on an excursion from a cruise ship, so it was a breeze getting here. I have no idea how far it was from our port of entry, Sydney. Didn't seem long. The drive up with the lake and the trees and the mountains is beautiful. Then you walk into the museum, and it is laid out so... More

Maybe a lot of other folks knew, but I did not.... Alexander Graham Bell had a significant role to play in early flight and many other interesting inventions. I knew about the telephone. This was a nice little museum for an hour to hour and a half visit with lots of fun facts about Bell, his family and his inventions.... More

The exhibit was a bit confusing when you are buying your entry ticket. We were offered the initial entry fee but also some upgrades for other options (film, talks etc) we had never been to a museum that one fee did not cover everything. There was A LOT of reading and it was hard to manage reading around people. My... More

I was really quite surprised that Alexander Graham Bell I was really quite surprised that Alexander Graham Bell was the inventor of so many things. He was a genius. We took a guided tour - very interesting. It was 7.50 for admittance and 3.90 for the guided tour.

This is an impressive collection of things. Watching the kids eyes pop over a rotary phone or the plane was lovely! Bell's fascination with kites is also evident between the kid area, the supply of kites you can try outside and the gift shop. Some of history isn't well known to the general public, such as Bell's later fascination with... More

We really enjoyed this museum. Had absolutely no idea how much Bell had contributed to the world of science, aviation, communication and many other fields. A lot of his memorabilia was contributed by his family with the provision that the museum be built near his summer home in Nova Scotia. Visit the small town of Baddeck while you are there!
