The Discovery Center is in Woody Point...not far from Rocky Harbour and Norris Point in a straight line, but almost 1 hour by car as you drive around Bonne Bay...but worth the visit. It is just around the bend from the Tablelands and Green Garden...More

This new centre is fantastic. It has a video of the area and a walking exhibit to describe the geography plus a small cafe. If you need a stop out of the rain or just want some information...stop here!

We stopped here to pick up passports for the Parks Canada Gros Morne Geocaching Challenge. The staff were very helpful, would highly recommend stopping in for information. There is a gift shop and cafe as well.

The Centre is a good place to learn about the Tablelands and history of the earth's mantle, shifting of the continents, etc. Unfortunately, their aren't very many displays geared for children and we spent less than hour before we'd had enough.
