The Holyrood museum was the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon. Linda gave us a wonderful tour-she was so kind, and incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Holyrood. I was especially impressed by her wealth of knowledge about the history of the Holyrood fishery.

The highlight for me was the art gallery. There were so many local artists featured - it is truly a testament to local talent. With artwork by one of Newfoundland’s most renowned painters, Gerry Squires, there is truly no finer gallery in the province.

I will absolutely return!

Nice and relaxed private tour by Joshua. Joshua was extremely knowledgeable of all the history of Newfoundland. Also enjoyed seeing the art they have showcased their, with one of the artists on sight, we got to see a work in progress. Fun local attraction without any crowds.

A wonderful collection of art and memorabilia from local and regional artists and collectors. Donated items have been meticulously restored and displayed in several rooms. Knowledgeable volunteer staff are available for inside information on the collection. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and would recommend it to anyone visiting in the Holyrood area.

The very nice couple showed me through each room with the history of the area. I truly enjoyed the experience with such vast knowledge and artifacts of the area. The aviation history was definitively intriguing along with the artist, musicians and steelworkers of past and present. In today’s polarized environment, it’s so nice to sit down with true authentic friendly people and reminisce about days gone past. Thanks for a great afternoon.
