On a BEAUTIFUL day on the island..we walked up to the Swallowtail Lighthouse. So very well preserved & still fully functioning to keep the ships & the crew safe!! Great history posted on the signs!! Truly a must see & walk!!

Go up top and scan the ocean for waves. We meandered around for a half an hour soaking up the ambience. Well worth it.

I lived on Grand Manan for 8 years, and always took my guests to Swallowtail. Grand Mananers love it, and so does everyone else! It is easy-access for most ambulatory people, and even those who are not can enjoy the view. What fun to see...More

Close to the community of North Head, this lighthouse is approached by a precipitous, but safe stairway followed by a pedestrian bridge stretching across a chasm which separates the two islands.

Amazing place to visit. Rugged and beautiful all at the same time. Good trails and good signage. Definitely would recommend.

So glad we were able to visit this lighthouse. It's definitely worth walking over to it. We were there with our two boys ages 6 and 8 and you do have to keep an eye on the kids! Lots of cliffs but they really enjoyed...More

Just a 5 min drive from the ferry .You can see the swallowtail lighthouse as u get in to Grand Manan. Very picturesque and a nice short walk to the lighthouse...you have to pay 5$ to go up to the lighthouse but we didn't go...More

Took the time and walked over to Swallowtail Lighthouse. Magnificent views from the bottom but well worth paying the small entry fee/guided tour and climbing to the top. Just WOW!
