We had four trips on BC ferries around holiday time. At all times the ferries were on time. The staff were super courteous even though it was busy. They really took pride in their roles. Congratulations BC ferries!

Had a great time. make sure to make your reservation well ahead of time. Stand by is not fun. Good food, clean restrooms, nice sitting areas, staff was great.

This is a hassle free ferry ride to Alert Bay. Fee paid for round trip makes for an effortless return to the main island.

Cars awaiting the ferry queued in a very orderly fashion both in Port McNeill and Sointula. In Sointula we parked our car in the queue well ahead of the scheduled departure and had lunch at Coho Joe's overlooking the harbour.

If you are referring to the ferry to Cormorant Island/Alert Bay then yes, a 20' RV is still considered a "standard vehicle". There is a campground/RV Park close to Alert Bay but you may want to call ahead to check... More
