Elephant Island began as a family haven, a place of summer picnics, orchard adventures and magical holidays on the Naramata Bench. Today the elephant has grown into a 6,000 case winery driven to craft wines of character. Wines that sing with the unconventional voice of vanguard fruit. Wines that are balanced by a reverence for traditional winemaking practices. Wines that are rooted and inspired by family history.

This location does not serve food but does offer an outdoor seating for wine tasting in the summer months under giant old oak trees. Their desert wines incorporate locally grown fruits. I have a full stock saved for all my evening dinners. They also offer red wines which my French born husband said were closest to traditional French ones. A... More

Out of all the wineries we stoped at this was by far my favourite! There is an incredible back story to the winery that you must visit to hear. All the wines are made from fruit. I was extremely impressed by the whole experience

Not your run of the mill minery and wine store. The attentive well informed ladies take care of all the questions and needs of their guests. Unique products with artisan twists to some old favourites.

Wine tasting was so relaxed and not pretentious. Chose 2 wines to sip out on the back patio. Quiet, serene setting with beautiful fruit trees.

They also have a nice patio with a bunch of tables and chairs and charming servers to let you taste your wine. They even took photos for us. Our servers name was something cool... so... More

My boyfriend and I love this winery! We toured along the bench and this was by far our favourite winery. The black currant is to die for and we are searching around trying to find a liquor store that sells it. Luckily we did. Don't miss this stop!
