I have always wanted to see the rapids and didn't think I'd be able to because of a knee injury earlier in the summer. It took about 40 minutes to walk to the rapids and the trail was dead easy for most of the way. The last 10 minutes was a little rocky but easily manageable. The rapids were amazing.... More

One of the spectacular sights on the Sunshine Coast of B.C are the Skookumchuck Narrows. The best viewing times are usually available. Ot is an easy walk of about 40 minutes from the entrance of the walk at Egmont to the best locations for viewing. the rapids. This experience is a must for all visitors.

A nice forested walk to the Skookumchuck narrows to watch the rapids. It was a nice sunny day and we were lucky enough to be there during high tide and watch the Kayaker's "surf" the rapids.

Lovely walk through the forest to view the Rapids. Canoeists captivated us with their antics as did the Californian Juvenile sea lions who played in the surf. Great spectacle.

About 50 minutes each way. You want to try and time it so you see the rapids at their peak. Then watch as the Kayaks have a blast.

If you are nature lover this is amazing forest :) So much to see + stop at the coffee so fresh :) History: “Skookumchuck” is a Chinook name meaning turbulent water or rapid torrent. The park was originally included as part of the Sechelt Provincial Forest in 1934 and remained provincial forest until the 1950’s when the Department of Recreation and... More

My second time at this park.. never a disappointment. Would recommend going when it's draining but it's a great view anytime!

45 minute walk to the Rapids during XL viewing times. Brown lake is on the way. Trail is well marked.

Got told to visit here while staying near by! Parked fine but we were heading for the rapids time which was 5.10.. Quite a hike! Took us 1 hour 15 mins from car park! Was worth it see the kayak's but is hard going! Well we had done a similar hike in the morning! Beautiful trees and surroundings you go... More

What an incredible sight! Low tide brings giant whirlpools that look like something from a disaster movie. High tide brings huge standing waves that look like they below in a surf movie. Both feature incredibly fast currant. It's hard to believe this is salt water and not a fresh-water river. The hike out is between 45 min to 1 hour,... More
