A great place to spend the day. Bring the kids. The gift shop is nice. Got to feed the giraffes too.

This zoo is top notch! We will drive an hour and a half from Bismarck to visit. Roosevelt Park Zoo has so many more animals than Bismarck Zoo does and it is exceptionally clean. The atmosphere is filled with exotic trees, flowers and natural decor. The gift shop is fun and inviting and tons of extra stuff for kids of... More

The zoo itself is much smaller than I'm use to. I grew up in Fort Worth and the animals there have much more room to roam and live in a more natural habitat setting

We liked this zoo overall, but felt bad for some of the animals (i.e., the big cats) who seemed to be in very small cages. The birds as well were in smaller enclosures and didn't seem to be able to fly very far.

It's quite amazing the quality of this zoo in such a small community. It is worth your while to take a few hours out of your day to see it. Otter and penguin exhibits were my favorite

The afternoon we visited the zoo, it was very quiet, all the children were in school, and it was kinda cool outside. Several animals were no longer out due to the weather change, but the ones that were -- simply beautiful. A quite pleasant, educational zoo to be enjoyed by all ages. Will definitely visit when it's warmer!

Visited the zoo with my son on a Saturday and it was not crowded despite the beautiful weather. Some of the animals were put up due to winter weather expected, but it was 62 degrees yesterday. We saw lions, brown bears, red pandas, Tigers, bison, caribou, wolves, an eagle, giraffes, even a baby giraffe, and several other animals. The children's... More

it really is a fun "zoo" compact and a delight with young children. The little train ride was fun and feeding the giraffe was a highlight

This zoo was completely destroyed in the flood of 2011. I didn't think it would ever be the same but the zoo personnel and city of Minot rebuilt it to where it is better than ever. Absolutely a must see while visiting Minot. Be sure to check out the penguins, absolutely hilarious!
