Located just off I-29 interstate, The Fargo Air Museum is an easily accessed pet friendly, must-stop location. North Dakota's premiere aviation destination, the Fargo Air Museum's dual hangars are home to aircraft of all eras - from a modern unmanned reconnaissance drone to the "most accurate recreation of a Wright Brothers' flyer the Smithsonian Institute has ever seen." A "flying" museum, many of the airplanes occasionally take to the sky, a unique feature not found in the vast majority of the nation's static-display air museums. More than just a simple place to display its many aircraft, military memorabilia and exhibits, the Fargo Air Museum also houses one of the midwest's largest Aviation libraries. In addition, the museum hosts educational day-camps, speakers and seminars for flight fans of all ages to enjoy. The Fargo Air Museum is a fantastic choice for a unique venue for corporate & private events and has quickly become a local favorite for hosting wedding ceremonies and receptions. Please email for event rental information. Located across the street from the Fargodome, the museum is also surrounded with dining opportunities and is conveniently just moments away from the Fargo's Hector International Airport.

The air museum consists of two hangers with a variety of airplanes well displayed with information about each one. The highlight for me was the 1903 airplane flown by the Wright Brothers displayed at the top of the hanger. We were able to get $1.00...More

We very much enjoyed our visit.2 large buildings filled with memorabilia and planes. We received a military discount on the minimal admission fee. Dogs are welcome in the museum. Definitely worth a visit.

Fascinating collection of old bombers, military helicopters, and motorcycles with side cars right out of Hogan's Heroes. Also a great re-creation of the Wilbur Brothers Piper Cub. Two large hangers full of planes and memorabilia. Well worth the stop and the price.

Recently, I had a chance to see the new hangar, the Beck-Odegaard Wing Hangar that is named after two former stalwarts of the museum who both died tragically in air accidents. Like before, the museum is well laid-out and has continued its plans to expand...More

We enjoyed an hour or so in the Fargo Air Museum. There are two hangars of planes, some memorabilia, displays, and a research library (which we didn't visit). The gift shop is extensive and has much for aviation enthusiasts. In addition to full-sized planes, there...More

I am a US Air Force vet. This Museum offers a rare assemblage of neat aircraft from fairly large (C-47) to quite small single engine planes. The Museum is immaculately maintained, quiet, and has an outstanding research library and gift shop. You can get up...More

I enjoyed looking at all the planes and were able to climb in a DC3. Helicopters to see. All in all I thought it was a cool little place to check out planes, jets, and helicopters
