A fine way to spend an hour or so; there were some interesting pieces and exhibits, though I wasn't blown away by any of them in particular. They seemed a little scattered, not well-organised. Building in very nice. Overall experience would probably have been better...More

Like so many institutions of this type you can never go often enough. The staff works very hard to provide a variety of exhibitions. The styles, the visual presentation, and guided opportunity enhances the experience.

I visited while two galleries were being made ready for new displays. My tour of the Regalia Exhibit by Linda Whitney was very interesting. Here work was amazingly detailed and complex. Highly recommend it. The Museum has open galleries and displays throughout the hallways and...More

The Plains Art Museum now has free admission. I've visited the museum a few times in the past and they always have the best travelling exhibits as well as some very nice pieces in their permanent collection. The attached workshop is a great space to...More

I really don't want to write this review, but I find it necessary. I will try to be kind. The building really cool, but there really isn't an art collection as you would expect in an art museum. I believe all, but one or two...More

Went on a rainy day. One gallery was closed due to exhibit change, but remaining exhibits very interesting. Museum is an integral part of the community and you can tell.

Right when we got there rude were unwelcoming and rude. The special Native American art was my favorite. Every thing was nice except the staff. There is a little kid center so That was entertaining for the kids.

Art museum, with contemporary and American Art. Small collection but big on education so if you have time/interest check out their class schedule!

Nice building and nice staff but not much art to see, especially if you're not a fan of contemporary art. There was a special Native American exhibit the day we went, and it was pretty disturbing. Apparently it's a popular venue for wedding receptions, etc.

The Plains Art Museum is a lovely museum with a large exhibit of modern art in different forms. Our group toured it and found it interesting, even though it is not my favorite kind of art, I enjoying looking at the displays.
