The legendary baseball player and Fargo's hometown hero is honored with a 72-foot long glassed-in exhibit at the West Acres Shopping Mall, tracing all aspects of his career, including major awards, uniforms and some of the home run balls from 1961, the year he broke Babe Ruth's record with 61 home runs.

When I shop and shop at the West Acres Center, there is the Roger Maris Museum. I take time to stop in to see the movie screen clips of Roger Maris- with his history reviewed. When I watch him crack the baseball bat it is a great feeling about our wonderful baseball history!

This is a great place it is located in our mall so it's easy and convenient to get to. All are able to enjoy since there is no admission fee. There is a video that tells his life story.

I wanted to check this out, we went and when I first seen it I thought "that's it?" until I actually went and looked at all there was to see. I loved it, lots of memories and mementos. Shows a lot of who he was that he wanted his museum to be free of charge. I would recommend people who... More

This museum is in a mall, so I didn't expect much. My husband wanted to see it, so we went. As we were reading the exhibits, one that caught my eye was that Roger Maris wanted the museum to be a place where anyone could come at no cost. I thought that showed his character more than anything else. There's... More

Went to the mall and discovered a museum. Pretty cool to see all the awards and some other history. The movie was nice too.

This was lovely to visit. We are lifelong Yankee fans. The exhibit is beautifully done and free. The tribute to him is personal and professional. I loved the personal components. Class act! 61:)

My boys loved looking at the life of Roger Maris. They did a great job displaying items/stories of his life. They do have a video in a small room next to the display that gave a little background history of Roger Maris. However, due to the fact it is in the mall, you could not hear the video very well... This is a display of some pictures and objects in a hallway of a shopping center. Only for those who LOVE baseball.

This isn't a museum, but rather a collection of window displays. If you are a baseball fan then by all means check it out. It's located in the Mall down a side section, so out of the way.
