The legendary baseball player and Fargo's hometown hero is honored with a 72-foot long glassed-in exhibit at the West Acres Shopping Mall, tracing all aspects of his career, including major awards, uniforms and some of the home run balls from 1961, the year he broke Babe Ruth's record with 61 home runs.

This was a very nice little museum in the mall. It was free. A nice tribute to the true homerun king. Lots of memorabilia and video footage. A nice thing to check out.

It's in a mall, but it is well done. Glassed cases. Has both MVP awards there plus other items. Sat in the bleachers and watched the movie clip. I thought it was well done. It's free. Nice tribute I think.

As a Yankee fan visiting Fargo for the first time I had to go see the Maris museum. Its free and is basically just a number of displays set up in the hallway of a mall, but it was definitely worth the visit. The looping...More

Roger Maris wanted any museum, that was going to be in his honor, to be somewhere where it would be available to everyone, and free. What better place than the hallway of a shopping mall? I didn't realize that was the location until we were...More

Most of Displays are located in the hallway of the shopping center. Very interesting film in small area inside museum. Learned lots about Roger and his family!

Not everyone would be interested in the "museum". Those who are into baseball history most likely would really enjoy a short visit here. I agree with what others have said, that it is more of a display than a museum. There are many photos, awards,...More

We didn't see any souvenirs for sale, which is a shame. This is a great tribute to Maris - especially the film - but the museum deserves a larger space and a little souvenir shop.
