The North Dakota State Capitol Building is shocking in appearance.... simply because it looks so unlike anything you would expect a capitol to look like. It's just an ugly 19-story office building. No character; no artistic features; no architectural appeal; no creativity. Incredibly boring. I'm...More
This is a stunning building. The top floor views are amazing, though the lift only goes to the second highest floor and you have to walk the internal last floor so wheelchair access wouldnt be good. The grounds are immaculate with plenty of gardens to...More
This is a unique capitol. From the front it is not balanced. The tower is to the side of center. The public and important rooms are on the first two floors. There are really great Art Deco accents on the legislative floor. You can go...More

This capitol building is 18 floors tall rather than the traditional dome. It is hard to believe that the legislature only meets every other year. The interior of the building is opulent and the observation tower provides an expansive view of the surrounding area.
