I have had the pleasure of visiting since I was a child, back then it was called The Nature Science Center. The animals, exhibits and grounds give a true feeling of what life would be in the wild. Unfortunately, the city leaders have deemed SciWorks needs to be in the middle of an asphalt and concrete jungle in downtown Winston-Salem.... More

Have taken students and my children there for years and always enjoy it. Well planned exhibits - many of which are interactive. Check the calendar before you go! There are many events that are good to take advantage of. We usually go once a year or more. I'm planning on taking my grandbaby soon!

Took my two boys for a Saturday morning out. Nice place to learn about anything science. Loved the hands on activities. It is a little pricey, but planetarium shows are free!

I went with a friend of mine who has a 1-year-old baby boy. He had a very nice time here, even though the museum is clearly oriented towards older children (science area.....). The baby enjoyed "animal encounters," where he met a snake. The big auditorium-like area in the basement had lots of fun things for the baby to do. The... More

I love taking my 2 kids here. I have a 2 year old and a 7 year old, they have something for both, even stuff for adults to enjoy. You check out the website for events that are going on. My kids loved the Frozen winter adventure they had going on and I am pretty sure they have a sensory... More

I love sci-works ..... I went with friends and their children and had a blast. so many activities that challenge the minds of the young and old alike ... Part of the visit is outdoors so I would recommend going when the weather is in the 70's; otherwise most of the visit will be inside ...

We took our grandkids and enjoyed the many displays. They had a ball and we could have spent all day here!

We brought our niece and nephew here for a nice afternoon activity and we had way more fun than we expected! There are tons of things for kids and for adult to do. We adults enjoyed ourselves as much as the kids! We enjoyed the music/noise room, the planetarium, and the live animals. Really, all of the exhibits were great.... More

This is a great place to hang out with the kids. Always lots to learn. The have special exhibits from time to time, and this is a fun time to re-explore. We also like to go at Christmas to take pics with Santa and make crafts and reindeer food. Awesome staff.

SciWorks has lots of great, interactive games, wonderment, and fun for kids and adults, too. There are live animals, puzzles, and lots of gadgets and things kids of all ages will enjoy. There is also a great planetarium. Hours of fun.
