Lovely stroll along the river on a broad Boardwalk. With benches to rest on along the way and now from one bridge to the next!

Very pleasant. Families come down because of good restaurants and delicious ice cream nearby. Sunsets are worth it to see. Just relax. Talk with each other. Enjoy the peacefulness.

The riverwalk is a special experience. We are local residents who consider downtown Wilmington a perfect , peaceful getaway. The riverwalk offers a variety of fine restaurants as well as horse carriage and boat tours. The guides are very knowledgeable and humorous. We would highly...More

Typical waterfront - boardwalk, gift shops, restaurants, nice views. Decaying industrial waterfront now making a comeback. The Cape Fear River is broad and impressive.

We had a couple of good meals, plenty of small shops and during the summer they have music all weekend. Parking can be found for free if you're willjjng to walk a little ways otherwise pay to park options are every where.

Beautiful Riverwalk with access to shops and restaurants. Several restaurants have patio/outdoor seating where you can enjoy a meal, glass of wine and live music.

Walking along the river is very nice and scenic however it is a bit broken up - sometimes you're on a board wall and sometimes you're on a sidewalk, and it's really only a few blocks long. There are a few restaurants and shops on...More

The Wilmington Riverwalk is almost complete. I believe it is the longest Riverwalk on East Coast. So nice. Also, if you live in surrounding areas and don't want to worry about parking, just Uber to one end, have lunch, walk to other end and call...More

Does the Riverwalk officially begin at Nun Street or will further construction be completed toward Cape Fear Memorial Bridge? I'm curious as there's a much better area for parking and easy access to the Riverwalk (especially for seniors) by the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge. Seems like a far better start/end than Nun Street. In fact, the Riverwalk was breath taking but the access was a pain since I came into the area specifically to visit the Riverwalk. If there was an added access point by the memorial bridge, I'd be back for sure. Considering the nightmare in parking and navigating the street to access, it's just not for me, no matter how incredible the view.

As the area beyond Chandler's Wharf is privately owned property, I don't believe that further construction toward the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge will be happening. There are several pay parking lots on Water Street (across... More
