I felt like the self guided tour was overpriced for the content. The farmers market was rained out but I still picked up some good veggies for the ones that waited out the storm. Overall a good visit, but I was expecting a little bit...More

We really did enjoy our stop at Poplar Grove. There were just my husband and I and one other couple so we had an almost private tour. You must have a guide in the house itself, though there is an exhibit and gift shop downstairs...More

We have been to different craft markets, farmers markets, and the plant & herb market - all of them had great vendors. The beautiful grounds make it an enjoyable shopping day.

Poplar Grove hosts two of my favorite things. On Sunday evenings they host sunner concerts. Bring your blanket or chairs and your own food and enjthe music. On Wednesdays they host a nice farmer's market in the morning. There is a wide variety of crafts...More

The house tour was a treat with a friendly historian. The grounds do not reflect what you typically find at a plantation. There was a BBQ festival on the day we visited, so we enjoyed some sampling afterward.
