I could tell from talking with Captain Charles Robbins on the phone that he was a stand up guy and felt really good about him and adventures we would have exploring the Cape Fear and Brunswick River. My wife, two elementary age kids and myself did the four hour excursion. We met at the docks under the Cape Fear Memorial... More

At $10/adult, $5/child, this hour long boat tour was a good water view of Wilmington. Captain Robbins' talked for the better part of the first 45 minutes and left time for questions on the return trip. He talked about the history of the port as well as current and future plans.

We had a great 4 hour trip with Captain Robbins. Started out going to the port to watch the unloading of a container ship.which was amazing. From there we traveled to Eagle Island and the rice canals. Plenty of alligators and other wildlife were seen. Captain Robbins knowledge of the area past and present was amazing and made for a... Our family of four adults took a four hour ride with Captain Charlie along the Cape Fear River, the Brunswick River and the rice canals of Eagle Island. Everything Captain Charlie showed us was new to us, whether we were visiting (2) or had lived here for years (2). He had stories to tell and information to share. It is... More

We had a great trip last week with Captain Charles. We drove in his boat, not on kayaks and our boys loved hearing about all the wildlife and the environmental issues. CR even let each of them drive the boat, which was thrilling. It was a bit cold to see the alligators, but we got to catch some cool crabs... More

Went up to 3 sisters on Black River in kayaks (myself, daughter, and Charles). Saw ancient bald cypresses. Great time. A relaxed trip you'll enjoy. Captain very knowledgeable. If you've never heard of 3 sisters, research it on internet.

Captain Charles took our family of six adults and two kids of 9 and 12 on a three hour trip around Eagles Island. We saw the abandoned rice fields, osprey and even an alligator. Captain Charles was very informative about the history of the river and how it was used from when it was first settled right up to the... More

I highly recommend Captain Charles Cape Fear Adventure tour. We did the 60-90 minute gator tour and although we only got to see one gator, we will do the tour again. Captain Charles took my husband and I along with my mom and two childrens ages 11 and 8. We cruised down Eagle Island and through the rice canals and... More
