Downtown

Love everything about this town. The restaurants are amazing to all the little stores. Something for everyone. Coming back with the kids!

We loved the ice cream in a waffle cone. Waffle cones were warm and fresh. One scoop was surely enough and the price was reasonable for the serving size. Definitely will revisit again when in the area.

We opted for the trolley over the carriage tour and are glad we did. Kim the tour guide was fantastic with great stories and knowledge of Wilmington. He answered all of our questions and threw in several really good recommendations on where to eat and what to do. Only reason I did not give him/them 5 stars is because the... More

We choose to walk the Historic District and were able to read all the plaques on the Victorian homes. It is amazing how much you can learn from the plaques with and iPhone. Such beautiful homes and historic churches.

Seldom have I been so impressed with a city - walking around the Historic District is so wonderful, there are blocks and blocks of unique beautiful Victorian homes, each more beautiful than the last.

Came to walk around downtown before leaving town. It was a Sunday and there were vendors set up in the street from 1030-330. Such a cute downtown! Loved all the little boutiques and places to eat.

I've gone on Historic Home & Garden Tours during the annual Azalea Festival. And you too can walk by & see these wonderfully restored historical Victorian houses 365 days a year. I like wandering down Front, 2nd & 3rd streets. The owners care about these homes & they have well-maintained gardens as well. Put your walking shoes on & enjoy... More

It's a fun place to see. Has a lot of interesting shops and restaurants. It is also home to a lot of different shows and movies. The atmosphere is great and you can hear music from local bars and stroll down the pretty streets.

Drive in from the beach for the day. Took a short boat ride on Wilmington tours and learned things I did not know about the area. After the boat tour, we stopped for Ice cream and enjoyed that very much. Spent the rest of the afternoon walking around taking in the sites. It was comfortable and fun.

I'm a history buff. So, this was right down my ally. I went to the old jail and alot more. There is so much history in this city it's unreal. If you love history as much as I do, I recommend going here.
