Our hotel concierge told us where to park, so we went to the closest parking garage to the downtown area. I believe it was on second street. The first hour of parking is free then $1 an hour. Our visit was on a hot humid...More

Beautiful restored homes and great old buildings. The river front is awesome! Lots of bars, restaurants and shops.

It was a somewhat quick but good ride. The best feature is there are different tours. You can ask for "tour 3, tour 8..." and see different areas.

Another must in Wilmington after taking a stroll on the Riverwalk. If you didn't already eat in one of the many restaurants or bars there, you'll find plenty more here. Loved watching the people on the cycling trolley and the horse drawn carriages as we...More

We had high expections, but were a little bit disappointed. There are historic buildings, but also quite a lot of run down looking shops and restaurants and building activities going on. The riverside doesn’t have much charm, because there are carparks, an ugly new hotel...More

Historic district is not quite how I see it. Of course, there are a lot of beautiful old buildings but also a lot of new ones. All in all, a mix of styles and periodes.

The historic district had many options for dining and shopping. The buildings displaying architecture from the last century or so. It was easy to navigate, but look for pubic parking because the private lots are very pricy ($7 max in public, $3.50 and hour in...More

Historical district is a unique and highly eclectic area composing several blocks that front of the Cape Fear river. There is truly something here for everyone.

There are tours thru the historic district, but we had spent so much time walking for 2 days, we decided we had seen most everything we would see on the tour, so we cancelled our plans for the tours. I’m sure we missed some info,...More

We did not book carriage ride or meals in advance, but don't about the summer months. Park at the parking garage. Think there is only one public parking garage in the historic district.

I think it is about $15 per person - no reservations needed- just wait in line.
