A must see old theater.

A very big part of Historic Wilmington! See a play or go to a concert. An old kinda intimate venue that my wife and I have enjoyed for many years. It was beautifully restored.

Old theater charm. Can be chilly if going during cooler weather months. Seats are typically uncomfortable.

We had not been to Thalian Hall since it was restored several years ago and it is a wonderful theatre for a live performance. We saw the Donald Sinta Quartet, a group of saxophonists who play mostly classical music and their performance was excellent. We sat downstairs, seats in the theatre are very comfortable, there is plenty of leg room... More

This is such a beautiful theater with great acoustics and ambiance. Make sure to take the time to walk around and look at the historical artifacts on display. Fun Fact: This is the sister of Fords Theater. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and the seats are comfortable. A WIN all around.

We have seen two shows at Thalian. First, the theater's architecture and design is beautiful. We sat on the floor for one of our visits and on the balcony for the second. The floor seats were great and the sound was superb. The balcony seats were pretty good too. The hall does a good job at not selling seats in... More

Thalian Hall is a jewel in downtown Wilmington, NC. It is a Center For the Performing Arts & hosts many great actors, plays and special Events. One of these Special Events is the (usually) Monday through Wednesday, 7pm, Cinematique. Cinematique is a stab at offering unique movies that you would not find in your local theater. Many have won awards,... More

Over the past couple of years, my wife and I go to the holiday showing of "It's a wonderful life!" We have seen a couple of other shows at the theater and love the classic area feel. The acoustics are great, and it truly is a historcial staple of Wilmington.
