The Cape Fear River is one of the stars of Wilmington. You can dine in restaurants on the shore, sashay up and down the River Walk or take one of the cruises that will show you many sites.

I found a post card with this exact view! Beautiful December day to be on the waterfront. Areas to sit were clean and sturdy.

If you go downtown and take the river boardwalk you will enjoy a lot of fun activities, see the sun go down, watch the boats on the river and see the romantic side of life walking along.

Commercial river looks active with industry all around. Boats barges steel rust. Not a pretty sight but does mean money. Wouldn't eat the fish but a true port.
