All Saints’ Tudeley is the only church in the world* to have all its twelve windows decorated by the great Russian artist Marc Chagall. The east window at Tudeley is a memorial tribute to Sarah d'Avigdor-Goldsmid who died aged just 21 in a sailing accident off Rye. Sarah was the daughter of Sir Henry and Lady d'Avigdor-Goldsmid; the family then lived at the fine Jacobean house Somerhill which is situated nearby.

This is a beautiful church with all the windows in the main sanctuary done by Marc Chagall. I lost my way following the walking instructions (2.5 miles became 7.1 miles one way for me -- but that's me. I am not from the UK :)),...More

My 11 and 14 year old enjoyed the written guide which suggested searching for the details within the windows and we all enjoyed the atmosphere and beauty of this special place

Hi, Gosh that is hard to say! It would depend on how long you spend looking at the windows, whether you read the information, whether you take your own photos etc. I also like just to sit a while and contemplate in... More
