We always love our visit to Ash County Cheese Store. We love the variety they have, not only with just cheese but with dried fruits, dried vegtables, candy, fudge, sauces, jellies and so much more. The prices are very reasonable.

We were not able to take the factory tour, but we did enjoy the shop and all the samples. Naturally took some home. Ashe does have a website for ordering. Great variety. Worth a stop if you're in the area....and like cheese!!
We should have gotten there earlier to watch the whole process. However a brief documentary film shows most of the process. Across the street, their wonderful store has something for everyone and I loved all the great cheese and jellies that I bought.
Across the street from the viewing area, the retail store offers jelly, fudge, butter, various cheeses, barrels of candy and assorted snacks. A bit pricey, but we'll see if the products are worth the cost! I tried cheese curds for the first time, I think...More

if it has an Ashe county cheese label on it is probably the same price. the place we buy it at home is that same price as the retail store in Ashe county. But you do have more variety in the Ashe County Cheese store. the... More

But you do have more variety in the Ashe County Cheese store. the store is pretty cool they have a bunch more than cheese to offer. Hope this helps.
