We always love our visit to Ash County Cheese Store. We love the variety they have, not only with just cheese but with dried fruits, dried vegtables, candy, fudge, sauces, jellies and so much more. The prices are very reasonable.

We were not able to take the factory tour, but we did enjoy the shop and all the samples. Naturally took some home. Ashe does have a website for ordering. Great variety. Worth a stop if you're in the area....and like cheese!!

I have seen the Factory before so on this trip to West Jefferson I just shopped for cheese for a nearby cabin stay. Great cheese flavors. Highly recommend the Black Label Sharp White Cheddar.

We should have gotten there earlier to watch the whole process. However a brief documentary film shows most of the process. Across the street, their wonderful store has something for everyone and I loved all the great cheese and jellies that I bought.

Tour is really just watching a film about the cheese making process while viewing the activity within the small factory. Of course, you then have to go into their store and buy some very good cheese.

Across the street from the viewing area, the retail store offers jelly, fudge, butter, various cheeses, barrels of candy and assorted snacks. A bit pricey, but we'll see if the products are worth the cost! I tried cheese curds for the first time, I think...More

Fun to watch the cheese being made both in a documentary and in person. The store had great goodies and gifts.
