A must visit for antiquers
Apr 2021
I'm an antique dealer with a single-owner shop from Vermont. Sutton and Son's was definitely the best shop I visited in the Waynesville area. It's a typical group shop, but they've done a good job of selecting dealers that offer a compliment of different styles. Some booths are a bit junky, but most are better than average. I purchased from two different booths. I would categorize most prices as "at or close to full retail", but one dealer I bought from happened to be in the shop that day and she was willing to offer stronger discounts (I bought from her). The outside looks a bit junky, but don't be fooled. This is a must visit if you're in the Waynesville area.

Wonderful place!

Pleasantly surprised to find that this is more than just one store— there is a little antique mini mall attached! Main store has fantastic authentic items (no reproductions) from tools to advertisements to articles of clothing. Then, there is another section with booths of more of the great stuff! Lovely way to spend some time and good prices too. Nice folks with an organized, clean store. I purchased a fan, Barber orchard apple crate, reading textbook and small wooden box. I’ll be back!!

normally a 5 star antique mall, but...

When we are in the area we always make sure we visit Sutton & Sons. It's always been one of the best. Unfortunately this trip was ruined because no one working there were wearing masks. We always wear ours when inside a building and I feel disrespected when others don't. During these hard times (with places beginning to open up again) we all should be doing whatever it takes to keep everyone safe.

You can find primitives, clocks, toys, memorabilia, furniture, collectibles, rustic, advertising signs, vaseline glass, coins, books, quilts, tools, art, pottery, vintage jewelry/clothes/hats, baskets, vinyl, and so much more. The aisles were clutter free.

Wide Variety of items. Prices were reasonable for the most part. We stopped at several antique stores in the area and this was one of the better ones. Would visit again

Nice Selection
Jul 2019 • Couples
Sutton & Sons was one of the best antique shops we visited in Maggie Valley and Waynesville. They have a good selection and are well organized. One section is more open with random items and the back section has booths. We bought a couple of albums which were in amazingly good condition (which, BTW, they make sure you know the condition of them before purchasing). Most of the pricing was decent although they were a little high on some things. I definitely recommend choosing this as your first antique shop in Maggie Valley.

The owners/staff are great people. They have a variety of items to browse. They have a section solely for clocks. I spent a great deal of time in that section. Most booths were reasonably priced.

Great variety

We went to several antique places. This one was by far the best. It may look old and a bit shabby outside but that’s what you are looking for, old stuff! Lots of booths with almost everything and anything.

Good place for picking

Address is odd, seems like it should be Maggie valley, right on the main drag. Neat no frills antique store. Picked up several great items. Was looking forward to visit and it didn't disappoint.

What a selection!
Jul 2018 • Business
We decided to take a road trip and do some picking in the Waynesville area. This was our first stop, and really the only stop we needed to make. The selection of primitives was awesome. It is the kind of place that would take a couple of trips to see everything.
Definitely on our "go back and visit list".
