I went here for the first time for a school filed trip when i was 12, and not much has changed sense then. Unlike other historic forts, there is nothing left of it, or anything connected to the fort still around. No buildings or artifacts are there. Even the mound where they say the Fort was is really only a... More

The fort reconstruction is just starting to take shape but exhibits and a very personal one- on- one with a period costumed guide made this a worthwhile stop. No other visitors were there so I could ask a few questions and get answers that helped me understand what the French and Indian War was about-something I must have heard about... More

A work in progress. This state park does not have to much to show now, but is in the process of expanding greatly. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly

There is not a lot to see at this historic site. There is a small reconstruction of an early log cabin, a tent, a raised garden bed, embers from a camp fire & little else. There is a small visitor centre which is located within a log cabin constructed from several parts of other 19th Century original log cabins. It... More

My husband and I stopped here out of curiosity. It was really a good and informative visit with the young man working there, dressed in period clothing and cooking. We saw the little garden, and also were informed that they would be building a replica of a building that once stood there. Very happy to say that work has started... More

There wasn't much here when we visited, besides a Pokemon stop and Gym. The real reason to come here is to talk to the historian. He was a really nice guy and had alot of information on the property! The property is mainly just an open field with some recreations of what was originally there. Still a nifty place to... More

We stopped by while on a road trip. Unfortunately there was no one there. We got there around 11:30 and the sign said they would be back at 1. Guessing a long lunch? We walked around and read the signs. The fort is not actually there, just a cellar. Looked like there was a small building meant to recreate what... More

I know they have a pretty small staff and have found it closed at lunch time before as well. More

The site has a nice visitor with fun and knowledgeable staff. The outside area is decent with a few sections with some interpretation. It is best to do a tour with the staff to understand and enrich your visit. It is a unique southern site for French and Indian war history
