We played golf on the Donald Ross courses and stayed at the Inn with the meal plan. The golf courses played well as Ross courses, not too manicured and a lot of waste areas (no bunkers). The rooms were comfortable, if in need of sprucing...More

The greens. Yes, this a Donald Ross "masterpiece". And if your a master golfer you'll love the course and everything about it. If you're a golf enthusiast and love great courses and don't care how hard or unfair the greens are, then you'll love this....More

It is an old style Ross course that has been re-worked a few years back. A lot of waste area instead of rough. Visually impressive. The greens were in great shape but very hard to read. Luckily we played with a member who helped us...More

We enjoyed our experience here. The greens were challenging and the course condition was excellent for the heat that had enveloped the area. The staff were very welcoming, and our lunch before we played was outstanding, as was the atmosphere in the Grill. This was...More

Played this course during a tournament this past week. You would think they would want to put best foot forward. Management knows it has tourney coming yet you punch greens ten days before so they have no chance of healing. Bumpy as all get out....More

Really liked the layout, and the greens make the course. I play Bermuda in FL, but I've never seen grain like this. Holes that you seem like you can't hit it hard enough, and others where the ball never stops rolling. Now I know what...More

We have been coming to Mid Pines for Sunday brunch for years. The space and decor has been preserved since the 60’s and it tastefully “retro elegant.” The service is always top notch and the food buffet is continually replenished so that no matter what...More

I play a lot of golf in Moore county. Been wanting to play this one for years and finally got to play it in the VGA tournament. These may just be the best greens I've ever played anywhere and that's a bold statement based on...More

We stayed across the street at Pineneedles. Had a room in one of the villas close to the Clubhouse. King size bed and about a $100 per night. Well worth it.
