We were recommended to go to David Franz wines by the people at Fermentasian. What a wonderful location. We certainly enjoyed the tastings and the explanations of the wines by the friendly staff but the lunch which David had cooked up - Osso Bucco -...More

Hi Kaye Very happy with the Ossobucco myself. Nothing like slow cooked meaty goodness with stupid amounts of red winey excess to make a cold day winner! Cheers for coming past, we look forward to your next visit

After going through reviews of the local wineries we though David Franz Wines looked like a good spot for tastings.. Weren't wrong! This Winery is family owned and operated and you'll likely see David behind the counter having a yarn with us tourists. The ladies...More

We visited David Franz winery last year and will be again visiting in October. The winery and staff are wonderful and if you get the chance to meet David he is full of knowledge and his wines are well worth purchasing

Hey Mark Thank you- your comments are very kind. Ultimately the wine is the most important component of what we do. As far as I’m concerned, if we’re getting that right then I am a happy winemaker. Cheers and thanks!

Nothing better than sitting with a view of the vines, a glass of red and a tasty bowl of lamb ragu. Our little dog was also welcome outside.

My partner and I visited David Franz Wines on the recommendation of another cellar door. We weren’t disappointed. Beautiful wines elegantly crafted and reasonably priced. Knowledge and friendly staff and the added bonus of a fridge stocked with local produce such as cheeses and meats...More

This is a fabulous little hidden gem. The Google address is not correct so you need to do a little bit of investigation. The set up very relaxed and inviting. We tasted some lovely vino and had a board of cold goods and cheese. Highly...More

We loved the flight of wines, the view, the ambience, the staff .. oh.. and did I mention the wines? Fantastic place to spend a typical Barossa Cellar door experience, enjoy the views, relax and taste some VERY interesting wines. Will be back !

We fell into here mid afternoon after wandering around the Barossa, this was our favourite winery by far...the relaxed atmosphere, the super informed and friendly staff, the grazing plates and then there were the wines - which we enjoyed so much we bought a lot...More
