A great park about 90 minutes south of Darwin. Several beautiful waterfalls only a short walk from the parking lots. We were there in March and it was very very hot!! Make sure to bring and food you want to consume in the park as thee are no public restaurants or stores to buy food. There are some vending machines... More

Easy accessible and really pretty! We travelled with a regular car and could access everything that was open in March. At the entrance was some good Information and a recently updated list with accessibility etc of the places. We swam in the boly rockheads and the Florence falls, it was really awesome! Really pretty lookouts and trails to walk around.

It is an easy daytrip from Darwin, but we stayed overnight to give us a chance to really enjoy all the waterfalls and some of the wonderful walks and views in the park. My favourite was the walk to the Upper Cascades. It is a very steep climb up a path made of loose rocks and in the tropical heat... More

Well, it's free. It's scenic and you can have some fun in the swimming areas. The Florence and wangi falls are the two best. Wangi was closed as it's still rainy season and there were crocodiles in the water but great wildlife scenery and picnic area right at the falls. Normally you can do a loop around all the falls... An awesome national park to visit. Well signposted and well maintained, all the amenities we came across were spotless. Some beautiful scenery, most accessible on easy walking tracks. Is an easy day trip from Darwin. Highly recommend it!

The amount of Giant Termite monuments and magnetic termite hills is impressive. Our tour also took us to Florence falls which was very nice. If you are lucky you will see a large colony of giant fruit bats "flying foxes" roosting in the trees. They eat wild fruit and are harmless. You can see these bats in many parts of... More

There are so many great reviews of Lichfield, so it is hard to say something new. It is a must for people visiting the Northern Territory. Comparing to e.g. the Kakadu Park, Lichfield is quite compact and can be sampled in a mere 1 day (of course more time is highly recommended). In the dry season staying overnight in a... More

Wow what a crazy place!! Drove from Darwin to see waterfalls at the park and was not disappointed. Being wet season we did have some rain and storms, although the time we visited the waterfalls it was dry luckily. Saw the termite mounds to begin with, then took a hike through the forest/woodlands, went to the look out at florence... More
