This wonderful garden was landscaped in a setting of great beauty on top of a cliff with breath-taking views over the sea, and it is a fine specimen of the spirit that animated the Noucentista movement in Catalonia - an early twentieth-century movement for intellectual and aesthetic renewal that found a distinguished spokesman in the writer Eugeni d'Ors.

The Santa Clotilde gardens were designed in the manner of the dainty yet austere gardens of the Italian Renaissance by Nicolau Rubió i Tuduri at the age of twenty-eight, when he was still brimming over with admiration for his master in the art of landscape gardening, Forestier.

Nice place to spend an afternoon. Since it's higher up, you can look down to the beach. Too bad the route heading there wasn't made for a pram!

These gardens are really lovely. I recommend you to visit them in spring but other seasons will offer you a great walk across this place. The gardens also enable you to enjoy a great view on the see.

Take your sandwiches, have a picnic and chill. It is of course cool in the heat of the sun in among the tall waving cypress trees. A lovely... More

Up a steep path you find the entrance to the gardens. The map shows clearly the gardens admitis easy to find your way around. Excellent view over the sea at the end.

We attended a few days ago with beautiful weather. The gardens were well maintained and preserved and had numerous statues and plenty of photo opportunities throughout.

Thank you for sharing your positive experience of Santa Clotidle Gardens on TripAdvisor. The gardens have to be visited in a relaxed way. It’s true that there is an area with stairs, but if the visitor doesn’t want to walk them up there are a series of avenues that surround the stairs to reach the highest area of the gardens.... More

We walked from out hotel - royal beach along the prom and up over the hill via the signed path and hey ho we where there - well worth the 5 euro each entry charge - well worth the walk - espically as even in march it was worth the walk to get some shade from the spring sun
