The location saved it from a 2 Star

We arrived very excited to spend a day in the thermal spa. Unfortunately it was being repaired, and we could only use the tubs. No thank you we came for the thermal pool. We decided to stay because the location was fantastic. Right on the beach. However, we had to access the beach by walking outside the front and the walking around the building down the street and then behind the building to access the beach. Instead of just walking through the hotel out the back. Again not really terrible, but not great either. Then came food, at 14:00 it was too late to eat in the hotel. So we were told we could eat at Aqua the beach hotel restaurant. We arrived at 14:30 only to be shouted at NO!! No food now!! We explained repeatedly the hotel said we could eat here. Finally a manager came and told us we could eat. But only large shrimps... even my Greek salad was a drama. The food arrived, the shrimp heads weren’t cleaned so dark liquid seeped our of the shells and my salad had no dressing no spices nothing. €50 later we headed to the beach. Which was the only saving grace at this point. The water was rough, but it’s not the hotels fault. We had the half board which was ok, however we had to ask them to wait a bit as they brought our next courses before we were close to finishing our antipasto Not many people spoke English, but again with my limited Italian we managed. We had a great check in clerk who compensated us generously for the mix ups we had with the parking costs. He was another factor that saved the hotel from a 2Star. The rude tattooed short waiter in the Aqua dining cafe made me want to give a 1 Star. He told us the chef went home, ummmm not cool buddy. Driving 5 hours and starving on holiday you don’t want to hear you can’t eat until 18:00 Would I stay here again? Probably not. Unless the thermal spa was working.

Very good experience overall

I come to the Terme in Margherita di Savoia since I was 5 years old. The treatments are very good for those who suffer of ear, throat and nose infections. The facilities are extremely clean and well maintained.
Staff well organized and helpful.
Tried the beauty Spa a couple of times, a bit disappointed with my facial treatment. Staff should be more focused on customer care and needs. It's always a pleaseant experience, overall.
