Ride bus No.10,11,19,21,66, or 107 to North Mountain Market (北山市场), and then walk north across the train rail and towards the hill you would see the temple and its flight of stairs to the top. We expected to pay 5元 but at the time of my visit no one asked to pay and we can't find any ticket booth so... More

I was there and a lot of renovations are going on and quite a few of the temples and pathways aren't open to the public. If you're really interested in the view then go for it it was still pretty good and their is some nice little spots along the way. I just wish that more of the complex was... More

This is a great Taoist temple that is located on Beishan Mountain side north of the town. If you have one extra day in XIN don't want to go out of the city. This place will fill your day. Reaching to this place with public bus is not the easiest way. It is better to take taxi to the temple,... More

We got a taxi to take us to Beishan. You need to walk under the motorway and then up to the temple. The taxi took us miles away, and although this is a 3A national monument it is not well sign posted. Once there it is very interesting, the temples are still in use, and its worth climbing the hill... More

the place has seen it's better days but it is being slightly renovated now. There is no entrance fee and you can spend a few hours walking around the hills and temples. If you take the path on the left, you will enter the area of the temples carved in the hill, altough there is no entrance to the most... More

Very nice temple and it's free now. But a little difficult to climb the sky stairs. Otherwise it's a good place for know Dao and can have a good view of Xining from the mountain.

It was built 2 thousand years ago, and became a Taoist Temple since 1980s. It was famous for the veranda built along the moutain and the temple carved into it.. You may drive to the temple from Beishan fourniture market all the way to the top of the mountain.. It's one of the best site to look down the whole... More
