It is the oddly the off season at the moment so it is 30RMB/person and you have full access to the park. You could either hire a guide or walk around yourself. If you want to learn more about the culture and history of the lifestyle back then, you should hire a guide. We just strolled around and wandered through... More

Geyuan Garden was an absolute gem among Chinese gardens. The private home of a wealthy salt merchant in the Qing Dynasty, it is absolutely amazing despite its compact size. When we visited, the place was streaming with visitors, mostly local. Normally this would be rather off putting. This time we didn't mind because the place was so lovely. The bamboo,... More

It is suggested to enter this attraction from the northern gate in order to see first the gardens and then the complex of rooms and exhibits. Entrance fee for winter season is 30RMB and it is a very popular place even then. During summer time can be extremely crowded to the extent that you cannot even take a good photo.... More

The Geyuan Garden had two main themes. Firstly, its abundance of bamboo trees and secondly, it’s cleverly - and pleasingly - laid out four rockeries representing the four seasons. A stroll through the four, seasonal rockeries of Geyuan Garden was like a condensed trip through spring, summer, autumn and winter.

It is a typical classical Chinese garden. I like the concept of scene consisted four seasons inside the garden. The owner of this garden really spent lots of efforts in constructing this charming garden. Also, it is well preserved. Definitely worth to visit it. However, of course, try your best to excape from the crowded people during weekend or Sun.
