Compared with other mounts, Mount Yuelu is not too high. It does not take too much time to get to the mount, just 30 to 40 minutes if you not stop. The last time I went here, I chose to ride the cable car to the mount because of the hot day. What’s interesting is that the cables here are... More

While this is very much up Hill, it is paved and you can pay around 30¥ to take the tour bus. There are some cool old temples you can tour. If you go to the temple at the top you get a cool view of the city. We like to go to the gardens on the south end. It's actually... More

This mountain is accessible by cable cars or hiking - I chose cable car. Its a nice place to visit. You can ride a bus to go down - which is what I did. It winds down the mountain. Great views from the top of the mountain.

From the South gate you can take a cable car to the top of the mountain 30Yuan one way. Or you can take a sight-seeing buggy 20yuan I think. We took the cable car up and walked the paths back down to Yuelu Academy. Nice activity if you are in Changsha for a couple of days and looking for something... More

Can access this through that rear exit of the Yue Academy and it is a nice walk up the side of the mountain. Fairly well marked and a pretty easy walk. A few interesting sights along the way; a few small burial sites that provide some history. Not sure about this ideal but there is wifi access throughout the area.... More

There are multiple aspects to this mountain. You can hike the paved road which many do and there are speeding bussing passing through around tight curves. I was not impressed with that. You can also pay to take the bus tour. There are many side paths that lead to historic sites off of the main road. There are also snack... More

There are two ways up the mountain, the road at the main gate, or you can get dropped off by the large monument of Chairman Mao and walk up to Yue Academy which is a great old learning institution and includes a confucious temple and an academic museum. When you finish you walk out of the back and it will... More

Beautiful walk during the beginning of spring, blossoms everywhere, a fresh feel after a mild winter... it was a warm sunny spring day when we went and I would recommend it to anyone. It is one of the best maintained sites that I have seen. No need to say that there are some steep places to walk but this all... More

It is well maintained tourist site in Changsha. Feels fresh but not so much of the climbing fun. All the place is connected by pitch black road. Recommend to discover new tracks through the jungle or the steps...
