A small attraction near Gulou that requires only 30mins-1hr. I would have given it 2-3 stars if not for the intricate carvings and wooden beams that survived the numerous calamities that fell upon Kaifeng. Worth a visit if you like Chinese carvings and old buildings.
Rather a small, dusty site, with the expected drum and bell towers. The main hall where merchants from Gansu, Shanxi and Sha'anxi met has elegantly painted murals and carved wooden beams.
It was interesting to see, but was worth, perhaps, 1 hour of time.
The merchants' hall has a very pretty memorial gateway inside, but that is really the highlight. The halls are OK, but it will not occupy you for very long and the fee is a little steep for what it has to offer. There are a...More
