Very beautiful setting. The park has a sandy bottom for swimming. If you rent a house on the lake, make sure that there is a long dock so that you can avoid walking into the water. the bottom of the lake is muddy and unpleasant....More

Unless you are putting a boat in the water, it is not easy to find a place to park and walk around. Some of the best places to view the lake and take pictures is from the "pull outs" on the highway.

Gorgeous lake - clear, clean water. Lots of places to swim, canoe, kayak or paddle board. Very little boat traffic.

“Don’t go here” !! Only kidding but I really don’t want everyone to discover this beautiful gem. Uncrowned, quiet, undeveloped. No fancy theme parks, water slides , bars (its a dry county) or much to do but enjoy nature’s best.

Undoubtedly a beautiful lake, keep in mind it is a man made lake and cannot ever rival Lake Tahoe for sheer beauty. Like Tahoe, the water is very chilly. It is a bit of a hidden gem, off the beaten path.

Yes, the lake is crystal clear and you can see 10feet down without any help. I think it would be a great adventure.
