I recently attended a performance of the The Little Mermaid by the Carolina Ballet. I was incredibly impressed by the artistry the dancers demonstrated as well as the beautiful costuming and creativity of this classic story. It was the perfect length for families and regular attenders alike. I loved the quirky interpretations of sea creatures and fun interactions between dancers... More

I chaperoned a trip with my child's school to the ballet. They did a revised version of the Nutcracker for students. It was perfect! Long enough to include great part of the ballet but short enough to keep the students attention. I'm so glad I volunteered to help so I could enjoy this ballet. I just love to attend the... More

A friend treated me to the Carolina Ballet's performance of Don Quixote and we simply loved it. He has been a season ticket holder for years and it was my first ballet. He can't say enough about the Carolina Ballet and it won't be my last ballet. I'm from St. Louis and I may have to make another trip to... More

Wonderful Shakespearean fantasy at the Fletcher Opera Theater. Took our children to expose them to some 'culture.' Everyone truly enjoyed themselves. The performance was broken up into smaller acts (2 intermissions total) that afforded a good break for our younger kids. The production was very good and the dancing was excellent. The Fletcher is small and intimate; surface parking convenient... More

I have attended ballet in major cities in the US, but this was my first time at the Carolina Ballet. It was well worth it. The costumes, lighting and effects are well done. The theater itself is lovely and the dancers are top notch. I will make sure to attend again in the futures.

One of the most wonderful productions of the Nutcracker I have seen. Amazing costumes and illusions that added to the magic of the story. Best birthday gift ever!

I have been to four or five performances of the Carolina Ballet and enjoy the costumes, the lighting effects, the music, and, of course, the talent of the dancers! Worth checking out if you haven't yet attended any performances.

The Carolina Ballet is a cultural treasure for the Triangle. The ballet productions and the company are a true delight. The size and sophistication of Carolina Ballet are surprising for a smaller metro area like Raleigh, and we are very fortunate to have ballet of this high quality in our community. The quality of the productions is superb and I... More
