Beautifully restored homes. Can explore on your own or via a tour. We did a tour and learned about the history of the area and a selection of the homes. Nice quiet streets, friendly neighbors, and educational.

Loved the neighborhood homes here. It was like stepping back a century. Lovely part of town. Raleigh should be proud of this neighborhood. It is charming.

The neighborhood is just O.K. Cute houses on small lots. The cemetery is very interesting with some amazing monuments. If you have the time, it is worth the drive.

I truly enjoyed walking around the Oakwood neighborhood. Each house different. Each with a history. You could tell the inhabitants really care about their area. Beautiful examples of so many different architectural designs. It is a photographer's paradise.
