Nice walk around on the weekend

Market has several shops and restaurants in the downtown capital area. Easy walked to from NCSU campus. Big Eds restaurant is a must particularly for breakfast.

After visiting the state capitol we strolled to City Market thinking we'd find lunch and some fun shopping. We didn't figure out what the hype was about this place. Maybe because we visited on Veteran's Day and everything was closed?

My daughter took us to the market and I couldn't buy enough, everything wa so fresh and beautiful. Apples were in season and we tried many different kinds before buying two big bags we will visit there again.

It was incredible how well organized it was, the quality of the items, as well as the depth and variety of things available. Great place to be and great food too.

Its not a big area by any means, but City Market is a delightful find in Raleigh. Quirky shops, interesting architecture and lots of charm. Well worth a stop.

So fresh and colorful! Take $20 cash and cook whatever you find for dinner! That's what we do. There is an infinite number of vendors and the freshest fruit and vegetables around. Go, and go often!

I love City Market. Especially at night. The whole place is lit up with twinkling lights. Now that we are parents we mostly visit Marbles, however, pre-kiddos I loved going to City Market for fun ecclectic shopping and dining.

I visited and ordered the BBQ chicken, very tasty! The staff were pleasant and there was plenty of parking and no wait to be seated!
