We had never been to Fearrington Village, or even near-by, though have visited North Carolina many times. We were drawn there, by the recommendations for Fearrington House Inn, and their restaurant. We weren’t really sure what Fearrington Village was, until I researched it on TA,...More

This is not an attraction. It's a wealthy area with mostly northern retirees. There are a couple of shops that are nothing to write home about, a couple decent eateries (including one fantastic upscale restaurant) and a peaceful setting. For the tourist, however, this offers...More

We spent a night here recently. A friend of a friend recommended it, and once I conducted my own research I realized it was part of the Relais & Chateaux hotel association. We had previously stayed at Blackberry Farm, also part of this association, and...More

The lovely Granary restaurant is gone, along with its brunch, dinners and bar that we so enjoyed. It’s been converted to a new version of the Belted Goat. The original Belted Goat used to be a fun gathering place for delightful breakfasts, lunch, and pastries...More

Hello c_c. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Yes, we've had a few changes over the last several months. The Belted Goat moved across the Village to the space once occupied by the Granary, which is no longer. The Belted Goat...More

My friend and I went for the day on a recommendation of another friend. It's a small village. There is a main area in a circle, so it's easy to navigate. On the edge of the village is a "farm" area with belted galloway cows,...More

Thank you for the review. Checking our calendar of events before a visit is a great idea - there are often events in McIntyre's Books, trunk shows at Dovecote, and then there's music at Roost and other special events. Always good to know what's going...More

I first visited many years ago and found this charming. This is a village with a village center: good restaurants, shops, especially an independent bookstore. More importantly, it's a vital community. There are 2,000 people living there and they have a genuine sense of community....More

Late to the bandwagon here with an answer, but Fearrington is not an age-restricted community. There are a number of young families that live here along with a thriving retirement community.
