We, a family of 5 (2 adults & 3 kids ages 9, 10, 13) had a 1/2 day rock climbing trip booked. It was a rainy day and instead of just taking is on our trip and making their money, they told us they wouldn't recommend it that day because of the young kids. They gave us a full refund... More

We had a great adventure with Pura Vida!! We took our children, 13, 11 and 8. Joe was fantastic. He gave first-rate instruction on how to climb and rappell. He was knowledgeable, energetic and able to motivate us up the rock. Our teenager was having a "teen moment," but he talked her up the rock. The younger children stayed busy... More

Friendly place that will accommodate any skill level. Our "group" was just two of us plus our great guide Dylan. He was knowledgeable, encouraging and above all patient! Will definitely use them on my next trip to beautiful Brevard. Can't wait to go kayaking or canyoneering with them.

Offers an invaluable shuttle service if you want to be dropped off somewhere on the Art Loeb trail to hike back to your car - usually at the Davidson Campground. Not cheap, but saved us from paying for someone to drop us off and then drive back home or to stay in a hotel while we hiked, which were our... More

Just the Best!!! My family and I went on a three day adventure that included rock climbing, mountain biking, and canyoneering. I have been around outdoor adventure for over 22 years and do not trust my family to just anyone. Joe, our guide, was a "Top Shelf" blend of safety, fun, naturalist, and film guide. The equipment we used, including... More

We had the good fortune of working with both Joe and Jimmy. My husband and I made arrangements for a day of rock climbing---first time on real rock face and not an indoor climbing gym for our 16 year old daughter---for our Spring Break. Joe was very easy to deal with in making arrangements and the entire experience was fantastic.... More

We will go with Pure Vida Adventures for all our mountain biking trips. Joe was fantastic! He went out of his way to find out what we would enjoy. Not only did he take us on fantastic trails he also gave us an education on the history and topography of the area. He was the perfect tour guide and all... More

Very solid experience. We went with Joe on a half day climbing half day biking adventure. His instruction was "just right." He was great at reading our personalities and needs and realized that working through the techniques with more independence was our style. After great instruction he would let us work through the activities ourselves and support as we fumbled... More

We had a 1/2 day open and decided to try rock climbing with Pura Vida. Noah took 6 of us to the "rock" and we had a fantastic time! Noah was a fantastic guide - providing very solid instruction/guidance and very good about maintaining safety procedures at all times. All 6 of us were novice climbers and we had a... More
